The new Chief Engineer Heikki Alakontiola with CTO Kimmo Jokelainen.

CooliBlade, a leader in air-cooling thermal management solutions, is excited to announce the appointment of Heikki Alakontiola as our new Chief Engineer of Mechanics. Heikki has extensive experience in various responsible mechanical project planning and management tasks gained from high-level positions at companies like JOT Automation, Nokia, and multiple startups. Heikki brings a wealth of experience to CooliBlade’s dynamic R&D team and customer projects.

Production expertise is at the core of CooliBlade development scopes

CooliBlade is implementing a plan to transition its production processes from manual to automated. Heikki plays a crucial role in this evolution phase. This development step aims to increase CooliBlade’s manufacturing capabilities and capacity and enhance efficiency and scalability to meet the growing demands of our thermal management customers.

“Joining CooliBlade is a natural step for me, where I can leverage my knowledge and diverse experience in an environment that oozes enthusiasm and aims for substantial growth. I am happy to contribute to a culture of innovation that propels us forward,” Heikki comments enthusiastically.

Heikki will focus on developing a new semi-automated and fully-automated production line concept and the manufacturability of CooliBlade products. “CooliBlade’s business is expanding rapidly, which creates a need for more efficient production methods. Our new automated line will increase our output to meet this demand and enhance our flexibility in developing new solutions for existing and future customers.”

Heikki acknowledges the challenges of transitioning to an automated production system, particularly in balancing demand with production capabilities. However, he stays positive: “The early phases of implementing automated systems involve decisions about resource usage so that supply will be in line with demand. In the long run, the automated production line will give us a higher production capacity and direct our personal resources to more productive things.”

Local partnership manufacturing concept enables scalability

CooliBlade is entering the next phase of our business. The next step is building easily scalable manufacturing lines with our customers and partners. This step requires a new kind of production line design expertise, but it opens emerging opportunities for CooliBlade on our way toward local manufacturing partnerships. Heikki is eager to witness and contribute to the company’s growth firsthand. “Having been part of startups that didn’t reach this type of growth stage, experiencing CooliBlade’s expansion from the inside is incredibly motivating. I am inspired by the potential of our team and solutions to evolve in ways that continue to set industry standards,” says Heikki.

Kimmo Jokelainen, CooliBlade’s Chief Technology Officer, shared his feelings about Heikki joining CooliBlade: “We are excited to welcome Heikki to our team. His extensive experience and innovative mindset are exactly what CooliBlade needs as we take these significant steps. Heikki’s proven track record in driving technological advancements and operational efficiencies plays a key role as we aim to scale our production capabilities and, most importantly, enhance our product offerings to meet the evolving needs,” he comments.
