The year 2024 is about to start, and it’s a good time to share our plans and goals for the coming year with you. In our first two years, we’ve established ourselves as innovators in the thermal management of power electronics. Our technology, NEOcore, based on phase change and an all-aluminum structure, has garnered significant interest. We have validated the performance advantage of NEOcore technology in several customer pilot projects, and based on that, we can claim that NEOcore is the most efficient air-cooled cooling solution to date. We’re looking forward to sharing more about our findings very soon.
Advancing Towards Standard Modules for Quicker Development Cycles
We have designed several product platforms based on NEOcore’s technology. This year, qwe focus on crafting more application-specific solutions in power electronics. The role of thermal management will become even more critical due to the development of electronic components and packaging technologies that drive the evolution of electrification.
In this context, we have also seen a clear role for innovative cooling solutions. The challenges of thermal management in power electronics will increase for several applications. This year, CooliBlade is dedicated to commercializing new cooling solutions for circuit boards, modules, and power stacks. In the first quarter, we’ll unveil new standard IGBT cooling solutions in our ULTIMA and AURORA lines, greatly accelerating our customers’ development cycles. Our standard evaluation kits simplify performance assessments, aiding our customers’ development efforts. Additionally, we continue to offer customized cooling solution design and development services.
Production Scalability: An Important Part of our Strategy
Another key initiative this year is scaling up our production. We’re investing significantly in cost-effective production concepts in 2024 and will reveal our first manufacturing partner collaborations in the first half of the year. We’ve initiated partner development programs with electronics and mechanical manufacturers to establish local manufacturing hubs. These investments in production line design and development will enable rapid scaling of NEOcore-based product production for our customers.
Pioneering Future Cooling Technologies
Research-wise, our focus is on advancing IGBT direct cooling technology. We’re in discussions with leading global power electronics module suppliers, hoping to share details of these collaborations at the PCIM trade fair in June 2024. The initial results are promising, and based on these, we plan to develop next-generation integrated cooling solutions that outperform current air-cooled technologies by several hundred percent.
